Event Info

The Bite of the Duck Food Competition was great. There was a wonderful turnout of competitors from high school programs, college programs, apprentices, industry chefs and catering company’s with a total of 19 teams. There were over 150 guests and great industry partners supplying the prizes, and silent auction items for the night. We made almost $1700 from the silent auction and donations which benefits apprentices.

The Bite of the Duck was sponsored by Maple Leaf Farms.

Competition Results

1st place: Chantel Jackson – Thyme Well Spent Catering

2nd Place: Team Rational

Competitor Rules

20 teams maximum. No more than 2 people per team allowed. One person can be a team if they like. Competition open to all students, enthusiasts, foodies, chefs, and apprentices. One winner takes all.

Cost
Admission was FREE and open to the public to attend and taste.
 
Donations would be greatly appreciated to send 1-2 apprentices to Nationals in July.
